- AES recognise the environmental issues associated with their business activities relating to waste, water and energy management.
- AES work to reduce the amount of waste produced, in terms of factory, office and other waste.
- AES investigates measures that help reduce the consumption of raw materials. Continual research and development consider any new, sustainable raw materials. Those that show potential will be developed into environmentally friendly, cost-effective products for the future.
- AES uses appropriate and well-tested equipment to effectively and efficiently convert raw materials into marketable products.
- AES explore all opportunities for increasing recycling initiatives.
- AES aim to implement all reasonably practicable measures to prevent pollution to the environment, to comply with all relevant and current environmental regulations and legislation regarding business operations, and to meet or exceed all approved codes of practice.
- AES took great care and attention in locating the production factory so as to reduce the visual and audible impact on the landscape and neighbours.
- AES strive to minimise the environmental impact of transport operations. The nature of products, together with customer requirements necessitates deliveries using road transport. All vehicles used by AES operate within the legal requirements in respect of weight, speed and drivers hours.
- AES will endeavour to increase environmental awareness and understanding within their workforce and strive to achieve continual improvement with regard to environmental management.
