What Our Business Customers Say
Don’t just take it from us, let our customers do the talking!
Craigdon Mountain Sports, Edinburgh
Over 2013-2014 we installed a 123 panel 30kWp PV system for Craigdon Mountain Sports in Edinburgh which saves approx. 12,000 kgs of CO² per year.
Lister Housing Co-operative, Edinburgh
AES Solar Thermal systems were used in a 165m² project in Edinburgh. Jenny Lewis, chair of Lister Housing Co-operative said, “This project will help reduce our tenants’ fuel consumption, save carbon and support Scottish jobs, without in any way jeopardising our B-listed Georgian tenements – it’s a win-win solution.”
The Greenhouse development provides 172 eco flats and offices in which AES solar collectors produce 50% of the total yearly hot water requirements. This saves between 14,000 and 42,000 kg of CO² per year.
Benromach Distillery, Forres
AES installed a large 200-panel system at the Benromach Distillery in Forres which has a 50kW peak output. Estimations show that the system will pay for itself in under 5 years.
Oatridge College and AES worked together when setting up one of the first major PV installations in the Scottish educational sector. A huge 100 kWp system over two college locations using over 400 panels.
Liverpool Mutual Homes
Over 300m² and seven installations in care homes across Liverpool serving over 200 residents. AES systems were designed to feed the hot water into a central boiler room from where it was distributed to individual residents and staff through the existing plumbing.
Vision Homes wanted to ensure that 10% of their residential development emissions were offset with renewable sources. AES represented the most cost-effective means of meeting their target emissions.
Gwalia Housing Scheme
The Gwalia Housing Scheme project was the first ever large scale solar thermal installation on a housing estate in the UK. As well as designing and manufacturing 110 solar hot water system AES managed the installation and logistics of the project.
